BODEGA LA PALMERA

The finca La Palmera is located in the natural park known as “the Leap of The Cat”, in the municipality of the Sauzal, within the denomination of origin Tacoronte - Acentejo, in the north of Tenerife. This is one of the areas of the highest quality in the region thanks to the depth and antiquity of its soil, and its light inclination oriented to the west. Are highly valued for the proper maturation of the grapes, the soft temperatures of the summer and the long and bright sunsets of the area.

It has a cultivated area of three hectares of vineyards located at about 300 meters altitude above the sea level. The soils, of volcanic origin, are of reddish color, rich in organic matter, with a low proportion of lime, and abundant nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The light breeze of the trade winds determine a mild and pleasant climate of great regularity thermal with a poor swing day. Rainfall is scarce as the warm temperatures prevent the condensation of moisture.

In the new facilities of the winery, we have implemented the latest technical developments to provide a fine. The non-use of pumps in the product movements taking advantage of the gravity or the mere force of the carbon dioxide gas produced in fermentation. All this looking for the naturalness and “purity” pure Materials, iron, steels, stone, wood, concrete.... In the work take precedence elements such that, as in our wines. We have divided the warehouse in three floors: At the bottom we find the area of fermentation and storage tanks of stainless steel, the filling area, barrel room and room of the final product. The middle floor consists of the reception area of grape loads by gravity to the reservoirs, cooling chamber, laboratory, office and store equipment bottled. On the upper floor you can walk through our tasting room, exhibition room and have multiple uses. A room of wine, where beautiful murals explain the method of elaboration of our wines.
